It’s been a slow last couple of days for the NFL, and there haven’t really been any new big stories that have emerged. That could always change on any given day, but many teams are currently preparing for the upcoming NFL Draft.

Things are going to start to take off in the month of April again, as that is when teams really start to make a big push to improve for the upcoming season. Here is a look at three of the biggest NFL news stories over the last few days.

Richardson Shines For NFL Execs

The combine might be over, but NFL executives are still looking at NFL Draft prospects to pick in the upcoming 2023 NFL Draft. Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson is a name that most NFL executives are keeping a close eye on, and he was able to put on a show earlier this week.

At the Draft Combine, Richardson impressed leaders of NFL teams with his speed and strength, and he then showed off his arm a couple of days ago. The Florida Gators held a pro-day on Thursday, and Richardson had a chance to show off his arm strength and accuracy.

Videos have emerged of Richardson connecting with wide receivers on deep passes, and he was also seen celebrating with a back flip. Richardson has individual meetings scheduled with NFL teams, and he continues to move up the mock drafts.

MetLife Gets New Stadium Turf

MetLife Stadium will have a new playing surface in 2023 after there have been several complaints over the last few seasons. MetLife is the home of the New York Giants and Jets, and players have complained about how dangerous it is to play on.

Most NFL players prefer to play on grass, but that is not what is going to be installed at MetLife. Instead, it will be a type of synthetic turf that is supposed to be an upgrade from what is currently there.

FieldTurfCore is the official name of the new playing surface, and it’s the only option that would allow for an immediate change. MetLife is expected to look into natural grass at some point, but it will take some time to develop.

Jones Back With Lions

The Detroit Lions were a big surprise in the NFL a season ago, and they are a team looking to take an even bigger step in 2023. Detroit has a defense that has the ability to be dominant, and they are trying to find a way to get better on the offensive end of the field.

According to NFL sources, the Lions are expected to bring back wide receiver Marvin Jones Jr. on a one-year, $3 million deal. That deal could end up being worth more money if Jones performs well, and the Lions would gladly pay for extra production.

Jones has been with the Jacksonville Jaguars for the past two seasons, and he has put up some monster numbers. He will now be returning to Detroit, and that’s where he spent the first few years of his career.

His best year came in 2017, as he went over the 1,000-yard mark for the only time in his career.

Betting Guide

How Money Line Works?

Moneyline betting is by far the easiest way to place a sports wager. There are no point spreads to parse, no garbage-time free throws to ruin your betting day, and no last-minute meaningless touchdowns to take you from a winner to a loser.

How to Bet Odds

When we, as sports fans, learned our multiplication tables, we aced the number 7. Seven, 14, 21, 28, 35, 42 were easy because we all watched football on the weekends. Multiplication by sevens, then add a three, a six after a missed PAT.

How to Bet on NFL Games

Baseball is America’s pastime, but football is America’s crazed passion, with its weekly schedule of games, millions of television viewers across the country and the world, and the billion-dollar stadiums that serve as Sunday cathedrals in 32 American cities.

What is the Spread?

If you are a golfer or have ever played on a bowling team, think of a point spread like a handicap. It is a way for two teams of differing abilities to play each other on equal footing.  The better team, and the favorite in the game, gives a certain amount …
