EX-UFC CHAMP TIM SYLVIA KNOCKS OUT OPPONENT IN SLAP FIGHTING DEBUT

Sylvia, with fellow MMA legend Mark Coleman on his side, competed in the main event of SlapFIGHT 25 on April 22 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Some people were concerned that the 49-year-old would attempt backhand combat after a lengthy MMA career. Nonetheless, he triumphed via TKO.

“The Maine-iac” caused considerable concern in the days preceding this conflict. In 2015, Sylvia was denied a license to fight after an MRI revealed an abnormality. This caused him to abandon combat sports, but SlapFIGHT made him an irresistible offer, so he returned.

Sylvia’s MMA career may have achieved its apex when he defeated Andrei Arlovski to capture the UFC heavyweight belt. After a few defeats, he was expelled from the UFC and transferred to other organizations. He resigned in 2015 with a record of 31-10 after the Mohegan Athletic Unit deemed him too heavy to compete at more than 370 pounds.

Sylvia was expected to return to the arena in 2015. However, he was denied medical clearance because physicians believed he had sustained too many injuries during his career.

The two-time UFC heavyweight champion stated that he retired due to a lack of medical clearance. Nobody knows what alterations in his health have enabled him to participate in slap combat.

The KO

Tim Sylvia has not practiced mixed martial arts in over a decade. His last bout occurred in October 2013. The two-time heavyweight champion finished his career with 31 victories, ten defeats, and one draw. He began his career with 16 consecutive wins but did not end well and lost his last three fights.

Sylvia would forcefully begin the fight and send his opponent to the ground with his first strike. However, “The Maine-iac” and “The Bouncer” would violate numerous regulations, resulting in a round loss.

The fight was halted after a few seconds of the contestant being on the ground, and Sylvia was crowned the new heavyweight champion of the SlapFIGHT Championship.

Nobody knows what compelled Tim Sylvia to stand atop the world-famous SlapFIGHT barrel, but Sylvia demonstrated that his strike hand still possessed considerable strength. Sylvia and FITE.tv both posted videos of the prominent former champion pummeling “The Bouncer” so hard that the cotton ball he wore in his ear to protect the eardrum soared across the stage.

Sylvia’s victory in the fight made him the SlapFight heavyweight champion. Given the positive outcome, it is unsurprising that he will attempt to retain his title. Some admirers speculated that “Maine-iac” could join Dana White’s controversial Power Slap League. Because of their lost love with White, the answer is likely not.

Tim Sylvia and Dana White have never concurred on anything. In 2008, Sylvia asked to be released from the UFC because Brock Lesnar was paid significantly more than he was. According to reports, “Maine-iac” then joined Affliction, where he made four times as much as he would have if he had won White’s salary.

Since then, Sylvia and White have expressed dislike for one another. The former heavyweight MMA champion recently announced on Twitter that the UFC boss had blocked him.

How Money Line Works?

Moneyline betting is by far the easiest way to place a sports wager. There are no point spreads to parse, no garbage-time free throws to ruin your betting day, and no last-minute meaningless touchdowns to take you from a winner to a loser.

How to Bet Odds

When we, as sports fans, learned our multiplication tables, we aced the number 7. Seven, 14, 21, 28, 35, 42 were easy because we all watched football on the weekends. Multiplication by sevens, then add a three, a six after a missed PAT.

How to Bet on NFL Games

Baseball is America’s pastime, but football is America’s crazed passion, with its weekly schedule of games, millions of television viewers across the country and the world, and the billion-dollar stadiums that serve as Sunday cathedrals in 32 American cities.

What is the Spread?

If you are a golfer or have ever played on a bowling team, think of a point spread like a handicap. It is a way for two teams of differing abilities to play each other on equal footing.  The better team, and the favorite in the game, gives a certain amount …
